Trip to the Supreme Court

Seventeen students from Year 9 to Year 11 travelled via the London Underground to Westminster, London, to visit The Supreme Court on Tuesday 11 February 2020. For some students this was the first time that they had travelled via the London Underground, or even been to London! As part of their PSHE and British Values studies, students have been learning about the basics of the Criminal Justice System in the UK. This trip allowed students to experience what a courtroom actually looks like along with the process, importance and role The Supreme Court has in our justice system. All students really appreciated the opportunity, stating:

"The Underground was awesome - I can't wait to do that again" "The courtrooms seemed so serious and posh, I wasn't expecting that" "That was very worthwhile to gain a better understanding of why The Supreme Court exists".
