At Gretton we have a staff team of dedicated committed professionals who endeavour to ensure that every student at Gretton experiences success, achieves their goals and is happy.
Every staff member at Gretton has an important part to play in the team approach that we recognise as instrumental in ensuring a happy learning environment.
Tina Harris is the Principal of Gretton School.
She has taught in the field of Special Educational Needs for the last 28 years after graduating from college with a B. Ed (Hons) degree with subject specialism in special needs. Tina also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Autism and Asperger’s, from Sheffield Hallam University.
Tina has taught in schools for pupils with severe and moderate learning difficulties as well as having worked as a Special Needs Officer for Hillingdon Education Authority. For the last 13 years, Tina has worked solely with pupils with autism.
In April 2011, she became Head Teacher of Gretton and was instrumental in supporting the development of the school and achieving National Autistic Society Accreditation. Tina has created and delivered training programmes on teaching students with autistic spectrum conditions, specifically understanding the autistic mind and putting theory into practice in an educational setting.
Zoe Kirby is the Head Teacher of Gretton School.
She holds a B. Ed (Hons) in Physical Education and Science and began her teaching career in 2001 within mainstream secondary schools teaching students aged between 11 to 18 years old in both PE and Science at KS3, 4 and 5.
Zoe later qualified as a SENCo and, before joining Gretton School, was Deputy Head of a secure unit whose students had a variety of special educational needs including many with autism.
She joined Gretton School as Deputy Head Teacher in 2014 and was appointed Head Teacher in September 2016.
Zoe supported Tina Harris (now Principal) in 2015 in successfully obtaining NAS accreditation for Gretton.
