Chris Bonnello is a former Primary School teacher with Asperger Syndrome, now turned autism speaker. He grew up in an age where autism wasn’t understood and, in his words, you were simply considered ‘weird’.
Chris now successfully delivers talks to a range of people in both a professional and personal approach and is coming to Gretton to talk about “lessons I wish I’d learned growing up with Asperger Syndrome”. The basic topics include dealing with anxiety, confidence, the importance of knowing your strengths and playing to them, and how to build yourself up to be the best you can be. During previous talks Chris has presented, he talks openly, honestly and unashamedly about the difficulties he has faced in the past and hopes to inspire both our students and staff with this presentation.
Invitations will be going out to staff, parents and students in due course and light refreshments will be available at 1.30pm prior to the talk which will start at 2pm in our school hall.
If you would like to find out more about Chris he has a website you can visit and a strong social media presence on his Facebook and Twitter accounts should you want to follow and keep up to date with him.
