Event: The hidden challenges of self-care for our neurologically different girls
Speakers: Lynsey Reader, Speech and Language Therapist PG Dip Speech and Language Therapist and Julia Terteryan, Occupational Therapist Dip COT, MSc Paediatric OT
Anxiety, communication and sensory difficulty. These are just a few of the challenges facing our neurologically different girls as they move into puberty and adulthood. We will offer the opportunity to talk frankly about the development of life skills including toileting, teeth brushing, hair brushing, bathing, dressing as well as menstruation and general personal hygiene.
The talk will provide information and tips that will support you and your child/young person from early care skills all the way through to teenage years and adulthood.
